The month closes with confidence in God and a renewed commitment to love.

Scripture Foundations

1 Corinthians 16:14 (KJV) — “Let all your things be done with charity.”

Bible Tour: DAY 91 OF 365 2 Samuel 4–6

Devotional Teaching

The month closes with confidence in God and a renewed commitment to love. Paul’s praise follows his prayer that believers would be rooted and grounded in love and know the love of Christ. Greater fruitfulness must remain connected to that foundation. Review what changed in your prayer, speech, relationships and service. Thank God for progress and return honestly where you have struggled. Do not leave these practices behind with the calendar page. Carry them into your home, work and church so that Christ receives glory through a life of continuing faithfulness.

Deeper Insight

2 Samuel 4–6 records David’s rejection of murder presented as good news, the establishment of his rule and the bringing of the ark to Jerusalem. Celebration must remain joined to justice and reverence. Love for God is sustained through obedient worship, not enthusiasm alone.

Biblical Examples

  • David’s response (2 Samuel 4:9–12): He rejects violent wrongdoing done in pursuit of favour.
  • The ark’s arrival (2 Samuel 6): Joyful worship is held alongside the seriousness of God’s holiness.
  • Paul’s prayer (Ephesians 3:14–21): Strength, Christ’s love and God’s glory belong together.

Prayer Focus

  1. Do beyond what we can accomplish by our own strength.
  2. Let love remain the motive for every prayer, gift and act of service.
  3. Preserve this month’s growth and receive glory through KDC in every generation.
