Revival That Restores Holy Love
Revival renews our response to God and reforms the way we live.Scripture Foundations
Habakkuk 3:2 (KJV) — “O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”
Revelation 2:4–5 (KJV) — “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Devotional Teaching
Revival renews our response to God and reforms the way we live. We ask for fresh spiritual hunger while also returning to repentance, prayer and practical obedience. Activity can continue after affection has cooled; Jesus calls His people to remember and return to their first love. Let this prayer begin personally before it becomes a request for everyone else. Ask where resentment, distraction or self-reliance has replaced dependence on Him. A renewed church should become more truthful, compassionate and courageous in sharing Christ.
Deeper Insight
1 Samuel 17–19 contrasts David’s trust and service with Saul’s growing jealousy. Visible success can either awaken gratitude or expose rivalry. Renewed love celebrates God’s work through others instead of treating their fruitfulness as a threat.
Biblical Examples
- David (1 Samuel 17:45–47): He attributes deliverance to the Lord.
- Saul (1 Samuel 18:6–12): Jealousy distorts his response to another person’s success.
- The Ephesian church (Revelation 2:1–5): Persevering activity still needs renewed first love.
Prayer Focus
- Revive Your work in KDC and throughout Regina.
- Restore holiness, prayer, spiritual hunger and bold witness.
- Remove jealousy and renew our delight in Your work through others.
Spirit-Led Growth Step
Remember when fellowship with God was more deeply cherished. Return to a neglected act of obedience and reject comparison with others.
