Bible Tour: DAY 72 OF 365 Judges 3–5
Devotional Teaching
Prayer for salvation keeps our hearts open toward people whose choices or beliefs differ from ours. God’s desire that people know the truth calls us away from contempt and toward patient witness. Pray specifically for relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Ask for opportunities to explain the Gospel and for grace to live consistently before them. Remember that people are not projects to complete. Love honours their dignity, listens to their questions and continues to care. As we pray for Regina, let us also become the neighbours whose conduct makes our words credible.
Deeper Insight
Judges 3–5 records repeated oppression, cries for help and deliverance through judges. God’s mercy meets a troubled people, while the recurring cycle shows that temporary relief is not the same as lasting faithfulness. People need a deep return to God.
Biblical Examples
- Israel’s cries (Judges 3:9,15): Distress leads the people to seek the Lord.
- Deborah and Barak (Judges 4–5): God brings deliverance through responsive servants.
- Paul (Romans 10:1): His concern for salvation becomes heartfelt prayer.
Prayer Focus
