Devotional Teaching
Jesus teaches us to pray for workers because people need the good news and patient discipleship. That prayer also opens our own lives to being sent. Witness begins in familiar places: our homes, workplaces and neighbourhoods. We can explain what Christ has done, invite questions and offer to read Scripture with someone. Courage does not require pressure or argument. The Holy Spirit helps us speak with clarity and humility. Pray for KDC’s outreach, then take a willing part in it. A church grows in love when members see caring for people as a shared calling.
Deeper Insight
Joshua 24 and Judges 1–2 connect covenant commitment with the challenge of passing faith to another generation. Judges 2:10 describes a generation that did not know the Lord or His works. Discipleship must go beyond the memory of earlier leaders.
Biblical Examples
- Joshua’s household (Joshua 24:15): He declares a deliberate commitment to serve the Lord.
- The next generation (Judges 2:10): The account exposes the urgency of sustained teaching.
- The seventy (Luke 10:1–9): Jesus sends workers to prepare people for His coming.
Prayer Focus
- Lord of the harvest, raise willing witnesses and faithful teachers.
- Give every KDC member courage, wisdom and respect in Gospel conversations.
- Help us welcome, follow up and disciple those who respond.
