Grace for Every Good Work
God’s provision equips us to do good.Scripture Foundations
2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV) — “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
Philippians 2:13 (KJV) — “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Bible Tour: DAY 83 OF 365 1 Samuel 11–13
Devotional Teaching
God’s provision equips us to do good. Paul’s teaching about generosity directs our attention toward sufficiency for service, not accumulation for its own sake. Bring ministry needs to the Lord and plan responsibly with what is available. A resource gap may call for patient prayer, partnership or a smaller faithful beginning. Honour willing partners without valuing people by their giving capacity. KDC’s financial strength should increase its ability to care, disciple and reach others. Ask for abundant grace, and remain ready to use each entrusted resource wisely.
Deeper Insight
1 Samuel 11–13 moves from Saul’s early victory to Samuel’s warning and Saul’s disobedient action under pressure. Urgent circumstances did not justify ignoring God’s command. Resource and timing pressures likewise call for faithfulness rather than manipulation.
Biblical Examples
- Saul under pressure (1 Samuel 13:5–14): Fear and impatience lead to disobedience.
- The early believers (Acts 4:32–37): Shared resources help meet real needs.
- The Corinthians (2 Corinthians 9:6–12): Generosity produces thanksgiving to God.
Prayer Focus
- Supply the resources needed for faithful ministry and care.
- Raise willing partners and give us transparent stewardship.
- Help KDC abound in good works without losing humility or integrity.
Spirit-Led Growth Step
Bring a resource shortage to God without panic. Choose an honest next step and resist any temptation to manipulate people.
Daily Declaration
