Every Member Has a Part to Supply

Church life flourishes when members contribute their gifts in love.

Scripture Foundations

Ephesians 4:16 (KJV) — “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV) — “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

Bible Tour: DAY 79 OF 365 Ruth 3–4; 1 Samuel 1

Devotional Teaching

Church life flourishes when members contribute their gifts in love. Visibility is not the measure of value: administration, prayer, teaching, music and practical care all matter. Discovering your part involves prayer, wise feedback and willingness to learn. Honour what others supply instead of comparing assignments. Leaders help by giving clear responsibilities and making room for development. Members help by being dependable and communicating honestly. As every part serves under Christ, the whole body becomes stronger. Ask where your ability and availability can meet a real need this month.

Deeper Insight

Ruth 3–4 and 1 Samuel 1 show ordinary faithfulness contributing to a larger story. Boaz acts through the recognised process of redemption, while Hannah brings her anguish to God. Their actions matter without giving them control over every outcome.

Biblical Examples

  • Boaz (Ruth 4:1–12): He fulfils responsibility openly and with accountability.
  • Hannah (1 Samuel 1): She brings her burden to God and honours her commitment.
  • The seven (Acts 6:1–7): Shared responsibility addresses neglected needs in the church.

Prayer Focus

  1. Help every KDC member discover and faithfully supply their part.
  2. Raise workers and leaders who honour one another’s gifts.
  3. Strengthen our welcome, follow-up, discipleship and care teams.

Spirit-Led Growth Step

Receive your place in Christ’s body with gratitude. Seek feedback about your gifts and honour the contributions of others.
