Devotional Teaching
The church belongs to Jesus. Programmes, facilities and capable teams serve His purpose when His truth and character remain central. Love refuses to protect an institution at the expense of people. It calls leaders and members to sound teaching, prayer, integrity and accountability. We ask Christ to build KDC while doing our part faithfully: welcoming guests, caring for members and addressing wrong conduct honestly. His promise gives us confidence without excusing carelessness. A healthy church becomes a place where people can hear the Gospel and see its transforming work.
Deeper Insight
Judges 18–20 contains idolatry, sexual violence and devastating civil conflict. These events expose moral collapse; they are not examples to imitate. Their disturbing testimony warns against religion detached from justice and care for vulnerable people.
Biblical Examples
- Israel’s collapse (Judges 18–20): Corrupt worship and grave injustice fracture the community.
- Peter’s confession (Matthew 16:13–18): Jesus is identified as the Christ, the Son of the living God.
- Paul’s foundation (1 Corinthians 3:10–15): Christian building must remain centred on Christ.
Prayer Focus
- Jesus, build KDC according to Your purpose.
- Establish sound doctrine, prayer, integrity and genuine love among us.
- Raise faithful leaders and protect those entrusted to our care.
Spirit-Led Growth Step
