Devotional Teaching
God’s mercy calls for a response that includes the whole person. A living sacrifice is offered in daily choices: how we speak, use our bodies, spend money and carry responsibility. Consecration does not end when a prayer meeting closes. It continues when we submit an ambition, refuse dishonesty or give time to someone who needs care. Offer your gifts without insisting on recognition and your plans without demanding control. Love grows stronger when surrender becomes practical. Ask the Lord to show you an area you have kept for yourself and make it available to Him.
Deeper Insight
Deuteronomy 34 and Joshua 1–2 move from Moses’ death to Joshua’s commission and Rahab’s courageous response. God’s purpose continues through changing servants. Availability includes accepting our own responsibility rather than trying to reproduce another person’s calling.
Biblical Examples
- Joshua (Joshua 1:1–9): He receives responsibility and is called to courageous obedience.
- Rahab (Joshua 2): Her recognition of Israel’s God leads to a costly decision.
- Jesus (Luke 22:39–46): He submits Himself to the Father’s will in anguish.
Prayer Focus
- Lord, we present our bodies, time, gifts and ambitions to You.
- Consecrate our eyes, mouths, hands and feet for holy purposes.
- Make KDC a people whose whole lives are available for Your glory.
