Power That Confirms the Gospel

God's power points people to Jesus and confirms the truth of His Word.

Scripture Foundations

Mark 16:20 - "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following."
Acts 14:3 - "Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands."

Bible Tour: Numbers 7-9

Devotional Teaching

The church should proclaim a gospel that is clear, compassionate and open to the confirming work of God. Miracles are not entertainment; they are signs that direct attention to Jesus and express His mercy. We pray for healing, deliverance and divine intervention while remaining humble, truthful and pastorally responsible. The outcome belongs to God, but obedience belongs to us. Higher exploits require believers who will speak the Word boldly, pray for people lovingly and give Christ all the glory when He acts.

Deeper Insight

Numbers 7-9 connects generous worship, covenant remembrance and visible guidance. The cloud and fire did not glorify human leaders; they showed that God was present and directing the journey. Genuine power confirms God's Word, centres attention on Him and produces obedient movement.

Biblical Examples

  • Israel under the Cloud (Numbers 7-9): Offerings, Passover remembrance and the cloud of God's presence visibly confirmed that God dwelt among and led His people.
  • Jesus (Matthew 9:35-38): He taught, preached and healed from a heart moved with compassion for the multitudes.
  • Paul and Barnabas (Acts 14:1-18): God confirmed the word of grace, and the apostles redirected worship away from themselves.

Prayer Focus

  1. Lord Jesus, make Your gospel clear and powerful through my life.
  2. Stretch forth Your hand to heal, deliver and restore as Your Word is proclaimed.
  3. Protect me from exaggeration, pride and the misuse of spiritual gifts.
  4. Let KDC carry credible testimonies that draw people to salvation and discipleship.

Spirit-Led Growth Step

Share Christ clearly, ask permission to pray for a real need and leave the result in God's hands without exaggeration.

Daily Declaration

The Lord works with us, confirms His Word and receives all the glory.

Practical Action

Share a brief gospel truth with one person and offer to pray specifically for a need they identify.
